── making funeral arrangements ──

When it comes to funeral arrangements there are certain matters which need consideration.

• Registration of the death

• The wishes of the deceased, which may be contained in a will

• The decision as to whether the funeral will be a cremation or a burial

• The day and time of the service

• The choice of a coffin

• The choice of floral tributes

• Whether there is a request for donations

• Planning and printing the order of service

• Whether the family would like to spend time with a loved one in our private chapel of rest

When Death Occurs.

The first steps to be taken when a death occurs are often the hardest for people to make. At Calverton & District Funeral Service Limited, Simon & Craig are always available to answer the telephone personally, attend our into care service from the place which a loved one has died and to make all the required funeral arrangements.

Our advice to all families, is that when a death does occur, they contact us for further help and advice on 0115 965 5588 .

The choice of funeral arrangements is always made by the family, although we are here to help and assist you through that process.

To learn more about the service we offer, please enquire with us. We proudly provide a comprehensive and compassionate funeral service to the Nottinghamshire area.

── funeral options ──

We can arrange cremation services and advise on the choice of crematorium. When cremation is chosen, it is important to consider the decision over the final resting place of the ashes. Traditionally cremated remains can be buried in an ashes plot, or garden of rest, or the family can also choose to keep the cremated remains.

We can arrange burial services. We will discuss the available choices with you and can offer a green burial, traditional burial in a local cemetery or churchyard.

Transport to and from the place of service will need to be considered. We provide funeral limousines to take care of you, from home onto the place of service and then return after the funeral. We can offer alternative methods of transport, including traditional horse-drawn hearse or motorcycle hearse.

The choice of a coffin is very personal and varies from one family to another. We offer a range of coffins from veneered to solid wood coffins; we can also offer green alternatives made from bamboo, willow, cardboard and even banana leaf.

We have our own private chapel of rest where you may spend time with your loved one. We can dress the deceased in their own clothing, or in a funeral robe if you prefer.

We liaise with our local stonemason as to any future memorial stone that may be required.
